I was called to the ministry through Coventry Church of the Brethren. While attending seminary, my wife Arlene and I served as worship coordinators for the Manatawny Manor and second staff at Coventry. In 2006 I was called to the Pottstown Church of the Brethren where I served 15 years, retiring in 2021.
I figured this would give me the opportunity to focus on my clock repair business in Pottstown, but God had other plans. In the beginning of 2023, I was called to the Skippack Church as part of the ministry team. What does God have in store for the future? I don’t know but maybe we can find out together!

I worked as a police officer for 15 years with a local police department. Toward the end of that time I became more involved with my home church in Stowe. I felt a calling from God and a need to follow God’s guidance. I attended Ashland Theological Seminary, a Brethren Church school, and received a dual Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling and Divinity.
I served at the Lower Skippack Mennonite Church for 10 years, during which time I was ordained in the General Conference of Mennonite churches, and also in the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference. I have been ordained for 26 years.
After I left Lower Skippack Mennonite church I spent a year counseling children with behavioral disorders.
I joined the Berks county Sheriff’s Department and was made the department chaplain after one year, in addition to my regular duties. I am currently still with the Berks County Sheriff’s Department as chaplain and a Sergeant in the Central Processing Division.
The position of Co-Pastor allows me to serve God in a way that He has prepared for me. I welcome you to come, visit, and worship with us. God Bless You.

Church Caretaker
Scott has been attending Skippack Church and doing the music ministry for 17 years. Scott, Becca, and Persephone live on the church property and take care of the grounds, the buildings, and handle any rentals for the hall and gym. They also work on outreach and updating social media. He tries to be available at all hours for anyone who may have questions or requires assistance.
